About us

Paws Beyond The Pines is a small and family operated hobby endeavor, ran from our four acre property in the Colorado mountains. All of our dogs live in our home, sleep in our beds, go on every vacation, and always have someone home with them. They are considered family members, and our breeding standards reflect that. All of our F1 Labradoodles are bred with integrity and responsibility. Your puppy will be well socialized and loved. Having our home and life revolve around our dogs and puppies is something we thoroughly enjoy. Being able to give people the same experience is a blessing we are always grateful for.

What breed are your puppies?

Our puppies are F1 labradoodles, meaning they are a first generation mix of a Labrador retriever and a standard poodle. Our parent dogs are AKC registered with full breeding rights, and this allows our puppies to be CKC registered. Mom is an English lab, and Dad is a standard poodle.

Are your puppies hypoallergenic and non-shedding?

We can't guarantee that our dogs are hypoallergenic. Often breeders will make this promise, but without genetic testing, this is not a promise you should believe. That said, labradoodles can have minimal to almost no shedding. Because they are first generation, they can inherit both types of coats from their parents, so there is some variety in the amount that they will shed as adults.

Can we come visit the puppies?

We are more than happy to Zoom with you anytime, and as many times as you need. We can show you our home, puppies, parent dogs, and hopefully get to know each other better.

Due to the risk of highly transmissible canine diseases like Parvo, we do not allow physical visitors prior to the puppies going home. This article from the AKC outlines some of the concerns breeders have about limiting exposure to disease since the puppies have immature immune systems and have not yet been vaccinated.

Are your parent dogs health tested?

Will the puppies be vaccinated and see a vet before going home?

Our puppies are CKC registered, vaccinated, dewormed, examined by a veterinarian, and microchipped. They go home with food, toys, a blanket that smells like home, and lifetime support from us.
